This work is closely related to my beam constructions but replaces bolts with two interlinked segments of an anchor chain. The heavy, rusted steel carries its own history, evoking associations of stability, durability, and strength. Its closed form suggests something fixed and unbreakable. By drawing out a portion into a thin, looping wire, I disrupt this sense of rigidity.
